ScentAir approached us with a request to consolidate their three informational websites into a single, all-inclusive e-commerce site. The project presented several challenges due to the complex subscription model and varied product offerings that required careful consideration for the optimal e-commerce flow.
// Magento 2 Discovery & Build Created @ Rightpoint
Our aim was to create a website that can handle both simple automated subscriptions and complex solutions for large businesses. Our goal for the first few sprints was to develop a strategy to achieve this over a series of sprint projects. Solutions include custom intake forms depending on the product, step but step interactive checkout, a scent creation/finder quiz and more.
ScentAir had three separate informational sites that were not consistent in messaging or branding. These sites also had a variety of usability issues including broken intake forms, confusing subscription models, checkout errors, and general display issues.
Create a strategy for integrating all three sites into a single master e-commerce Magento site. Address the bugs that are impeding a successful e-commerce flow, and add informative pages that educate customers and encourage them to make purchases. Our initial discovery has led to recommendations for additional phased improvements following the initial launch.
ScentAir offers a range of products and subscription models to fit different needs. They have simple products, bundles, and multiple types of subscription models. More complex subscriptions involve in-person sales representatives and larger contract negotiations.
To address every scenario, we conducted a comprehensive audit of the requirements for each product. We then devised various user journey scenarios to enable the optimal user experience. Our recommendations include implementing robust intake forms, customizing step-by-step add-to-cart processes for each product, and adopting a best-in-class subscription model.
